How it works

  1. Upload your audio file. Drag and drop an audio file (MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC, OGG, or AAC) onto DomeScribe or click the upload button to browse your device.
  2. Choose the recording language. Select the language of the audio. If you have a multilingual recording, pick the primary language for the best recognition accuracy.
  3. Convert audio to text. Press Transcribe and DomeScribe will analyze the audio waveform and produce a written transcript. Large files are processed in parallel for faster results.
  4. Download the text output. Check the transcript for accuracy, then download it as a text file. Use it for meeting notes, interview write-ups, lecture summaries, or accessibility documentation.

Frequently asked questions

What audio formats can DomeScribe convert to text?

DomeScribe supports MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC, OGG, AAC, and WMA files. If your format is not listed, try converting it to MP3 first using any free audio converter — the transcription quality will remain the same.

Can DomeScribe distinguish between multiple speakers in an audio file?

DomeScribe focuses on producing a single continuous transcript of all spoken words. Speaker diarization (labeling who said what) is not currently available, but the transcript captures every voice in the recording.

What is the maximum audio file size I can upload?

DomeScribe accepts audio files up to several hundred megabytes. For very large files like uncompressed WAV recordings, consider compressing to MP3 or FLAC first to speed up the upload without losing transcription quality.

Is my uploaded audio stored on DomeScribe servers?

Uploaded audio is processed in memory and discarded after the transcript is generated. DomeScribe does not permanently store your audio files, so your recordings remain private.

Can I transcribe phone call recordings?

Yes, phone call recordings work well as long as both sides of the conversation are captured in the audio file. Recordings from apps like Voice Memos, call recorders, or VoIP platforms can all be uploaded to DomeScribe and transcribed.
